International volunteering

Report from the first online event

On Saturday, November 7, we organized the first meeting of Meet Brno in Brno for you. It was our first experience with holding a virtual meeting. The meeting took place in the Zoom application. In the beginning, we met through fun games. This was followed by a workshop full of practical tips on accommodation, insurance and advice for foreigners on what to do when they are new to Brno. We also prepared a presentation about Brno for the participants with useful tips for social life. The last workshop was focused on the non-profit sector, we gave the participants information on how to be active in the local community. In the virtual space, we tried a fun way to pass information. For example, we used Kahoot or Jamboard. This experience was really enriching for us. We hope that participants enjoyed it as well.
